How to make people like you

The title might be pushing it. But maybe not totally.

I really like to bake. When I was young, my mom taught me how to make brownies. From then on, she encouraged me to bake, although there was probably an ulterior motive on her part. When I was in my 20s and started reading blogs, it opened up a whole new world for me. I loved seeing the step by step processes. I still love being able to find any recipe on the internet. Then, at the end, you get to taste test something that is most likely delicious.

As you all probably know, baking is not necessarily conducive to a trim figure. Now I find ways to give my baked goods away. I might bring them to work, or hand them off to bae’s family. Bae thinks I am a goddess in the kitchen, a description that I work hard for!

In some circles, I may have earned a reputation as a “good baker”. Truth be told, anyone could do what I do. Find recipe, make it with a careful technique, take pictures, then give it away!

Two of my favorite things to make to woo my circle are the cinnamon rolls above, and scones.

Check out those flaky layers 😍

I believe that scones are so often done wrong. Hard, dense, too sweet, too soft, just wrong. I make scones that are just a little crispy but very flaky and tender. Thumbs up all around!

The cinnamon rolls speak for themselves. Just look at them! People look at me like I am Martha Stewart when I bring those, but they really are quite simple to make.

There are of course other ways to make people like you, but bringing fresh homemade treats is never wrong. I repeat: never wrong!
