Obligatory Intro

Hello, Loll here. I am excited to begin!

My real name is actually Laura. Loll was a childhood nickname that people seemed to like, so it stuck. I am 30-something and I’ve gone to school for a very long time. I finished my doctoral degree in nursing in May, so perhaps this blog is an outlet for my newfound boredom.

I was born and raised in eastern Massachusetts, but a few years ago I moved across the state to the Pioneer Valley. This area is a great place to live, eat, hike, drink, etc. I hope to share those experiences with you.

I am now working as a primary care nurse practitioner in this area. I worked for 10 years as a bedside RN, and wow, talk about a learning curve going into my new role. Despite the countless hours I spent preparing myself for this very role, I look things up every single day. One of my favorite things about the medical field is that I learn something new every day.

In my spare time, I like to read, hike, exercise, cook, ride dirt bikes, walk the dogs, take pictures, you name it. I often feel like there is not enough time in the day. I do my best to live a well-rounded life. I started this site to share some of my favorite tidbits with you about how to do that. At this very moment, I am not quite sure what direction this blog will take. It will probably flow like my thoughts: a little tangential, and always active. Enjoy!
